A PRIVATE ESTATE WEDDING IN MONTVILLE

Kimberley & Brenton’s intimate private estate Wedding in Montville was the second washed out wedding I’ve had this year. That said, the rain ended up being an absolute blessing in disguise. What would have been a cold and a muddy and a potentially dangerous outdoor wedding, ended up being a cosey, safe, indoor one.

You know me – I’m ALL FOR a gorgeous outdoor wedding – but moving this one indoors was the right thing to do. Wedding days don’t always go to plan, and Kim & BJ’s willingness to adapt was what made it so much fun. To their credit and with the help of Samia from Oh Honey Florals and Montville Yurts, they were still able to have their outdoor ceremony as planned. But the kicker was the kinfolk style dinner by Thistle in the Woods by the fire that took this wedding to the next level.

I loved being a part of this day – so guys, Thank you so much for allowing me into your space and into your world. In spite of everything the weather threw at you, it really was a night I will fondly remember. (SNEAK PEEK)

This modern, minimalist Bistro C Wedding in Noosa was next-level…EPIC!!! From the invites to the speeches to the dance floor – everything about this day was absolute perfection! There was laughter, there were tears and as always, there were espresso martinis on tap for the speeches. Jackson & Chantelle, I feel beyond honored to have captured your special day. This chic, modern, minimalist wedding editorial was everything I thought it was going to be and more. As timeless as it was, it was also the most sophisticated, on trend shoot I’ve ever been a part of. To the amazing crew at Lovebird Weddings – Thanks again for having me. I love you guys to pieces! How incredibly stunning is the gorgeous bride-to-be Elle too!? And the flowers by Mondo Floral Designs?! My mind was officially blown when I saw the insanely gorgeous arbor that Terri-Anne had created.

This Noosa Waterfront Restaurant Wedding in Noosa Heads was such a joy to photograph. From Brooke’s bouquet to the ceremony arbour to the food – everything about this day screamed ‘true elegance!’ There was laughter, there were tears and the martinis were on tap. For the first time in what felt like forever, there was dancing too!! This year has thrown us all a lot of curve balls – but Brooke & Ryan’s day was nothing short of EPIC!

I honestly feel so, so blessed that almost all of my couples this year decided to go ahead with their weddings as planned. If anything, what 2020 has shown us is that good company, good food and drink is pretty much all that’s needed when it comes to throwing one heck of a party!

A MODERN RELAXED MONOCHROMATIC WEDDING AT THE REFINERY IN BRISBANE – SNEAK PEEK

Last week Ashleigh & Kieran tied the knot at ‘The Refinery‘ in Brisbane. To say that it was the best way to see 2020 out is an understatement. From the food, to the styling to the staff, I couldn’t fault a thing about Ashleigh & Kieran’s day.

It was HOT and yes, it was a typical humid, almost unbearable Summers’ day – but if I had to do it all again, I would in a heartbeat!!

For me, this was the first time I’d worked at The Refinery. From the get-go, I knew it would be a nice space to work in, but my expectations for the space were immediately surpassed. The monochromatic, urban look of the interior at The Refinery is absolutely swoon-worthy. Every square inch of this place packs a super, elegant punch.

Courtney & Luke’s Wedding at Rae’s was the first of many weddings this year that had to be rescheduled. Thanks to COVID, it was also the first wedding in almost 10 years that I’ve ever had to miss.
