GENERAL INFORMATION
Here at ASH & STONE our photographer/s will comply with all COVID-19 related conditions and restrictions as they stand in both Queensland and in New South Wales. For weddings held in other states or countries, ASH & STONE will endeavour to do the same.
As you would expect, all caterers, event stylists, makeup artists and venues must comply with the Covid-safe guidelines set by their respective States. As an allied service provider, we ask that all of our couples and guests would do the same.
For couples and guests:
- Please consider sending out a message prior to your day that encourages your guests not to attend if they’re feeling unwell. If they don’t have any respiratory or COVID-19 related symptoms then by all means, they’re welcome to join the party!
- If you have elderly guests or immuno-suppressed guests coming to your wedding, then consider having them only at your ceremony. Receptions are deemed more high risk than ceremonies. I’m definitely not telling you not to invite them to your reception. Please just be open to this arrangement and have a discussion with them, as those mentioned above are more likely to develop COVID-19 related complications down the track if they are exposed to the virus.
- Ensure you and your guests are not subject to any travel restrictions or are not in breach of any quarantine measures.
- If any of your guests are displaying covid-like symtpoms prior to your wedding – then encourage them to see their GP. All guests with symptoms ought to stay in isolation until they are well or until they return a negative result. In short – if someone says they’re sick – then instruct them to stay away.
- Encourage people who can’t make it to your wedding to join you in celebrating your day via skype, zoom, or one of the many other live video stream apps that are available for you to use.
Please ensure you remind your guests of the importance of physical distancing before, during and after the wedding.
PHOTOGRAPHY-RELATED INFORMATION
Please be assured that we’ll still be photographing you and your wedding the way we normally do. In complying with the current restrictions however, there are a few things that we’ve had to omit from our usual workflow for the time being.
For those who aren’t yet familiar with the current rulings – it pertains primarily to travel and transportation and the way we do group photos.
- As people must not be grouped or clustered together, we won’t be facilitating a large group wedding photo with all your guests. Family photos are still okay, but I will move through them very, very quickly on the day to minimise the risks that smaller group shots pose.
- In line with the latest rules, I will not be able to drive any of my couples or any of their bridal party members to any off site locations for photos. In short, car-pooling is something that I can’t help you out with right now. Arranging your own means of transport too and from one site location to the next is your responsibility. Please consider this when you are organising your wedding and any additional on-the-day activities.
Here at ASH & STONE we will continue to practise good day-to-day hygiene by frequently cleaning our hands with either hand sanitiser or soap.
In addition to the above, all cameras and camera gear used by us on the day will be routinely wiped down with anti-bacterial alcohol wipes before and after use.
We will also be working to maintain a safe working distance in line with current guidelines. As we work on the day, we ask that you and your guests would be mindful of this and that everyone would do their best to stay the advised 1.5m apart.
To minimise cross infection between ourselves and guests at your wedding, hugs and handshakes will not be encouraged. I love a good hug and a good handshake, so when the rules change, I look forward to being able to do this all again.
In almost 10 years I’ve never missed a wedding to illness. That said, if I happen to be unwell or if I happen to be displaying any respiratory or any COVID-19 related symptoms, then I will work to find a suitable photographer to replace me.
ADDITIONAL CONDITIONS AND INFORMATION
