FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WE WOULD REALLY LIKE YOU TO SHOOT OUR WEDDING, HOW DO WE SECURE OUR DATE?

Sweet! I'd love to be a part of your day! To book, just shoot me an email using the contact form on this site with as many of the boxes filled in as possible. If the date is free - it's yours! A booking fee of $1000 and a signed contractual agreement form is then required upon booking. Payment plans are available.

HOW MANY PHOTOS WILL WE RECEIVE?

I am a big advocate for 'quality' over 'quantity.' My focus when photographing a wedding is not on the number of images I take, but rather it's on the story they tell and the art of telling that story well. Instead of snapping off multiple frames and hoping for the best, I take my time to compose and capture an image properly the first time. I have outlined the number of images that you can expect to receive on the pricing page [believe me too when I say that you don't need 20 shots of the same thing either]. Proofs will be ready for viewing in a private gallery within 4-6 weeks of your wedding. Generally speaking, you can expect your images to be ready within 6-8 weeks. During peak season the wait time almost doubles. I DO NOT OUTSOURCE EDITING and I do have a tendency to over deliver image wise - which means I often end up doubling my workload. Once I finish editing your images, they will then be sent to you in hi-res format as .jpeg's via an online gallery. You will be able to immediately download and save and share these images.  Professional Printing options are also available and you are welcome to order prints directly from your online gallery. If you have ordered and album or a large framed print then the waiting times will be slightly longer as differing turnaround times for each individual item has to be factored into the equation. Generally speaking, it's wise to add on a waiting time of 2-4 weeks for printed products such as albums, wall prints and canvases ONCE they have been ordered.

DO YOU TRAVEL FOR WEDDINGS!

Heck yeah! I love to travel and I will go anywhere!! On that note, I seriously have a thing for Destination Weddings because I love getting out of my comfort zone and shooting in new places. For non-local Weddings, a travel fee applies. This fee may be waived however if I'm planning to be in the same country you're having your wedding in, at the same time. To find out more or to check out our travel calendar, hit us up. We can't wait to hear from you!!!!!

DO YOU MAKE ALBUMS?

I sure do and by popular demand I offer a Luxe Fine Art Wedding Photography Album and a Regular Fine Art Wedding Photography Album option with almost all of my Wedding Photography Packages. I promise you - it's worth paying that little bit extra for this heirloom piece!!!!!!!

HOW WOULD YOU DESCRIBE YOUR STYLE?

I believe that weddings should be a true reflection of who you are and what you love. My style is best described as being photo-journalistic with an editorial edge. I like to keep it real and to keep things natural and simple.

In terms of 'wedding style,' the types of weddings that I'm drawn to the most are those that are relaxed, yet chic & elegant, they are outdoor / alfresco-style weddings, and whilst simplicity is key - every single detail & element is well thought through & meaningful.

DO WE NEED TO FEED YOU ON THE DAY?

No you don't have to feed me - but if you would like to provide me with a meal at your reception than I would be super appreciative.

DO YOU DO ENGAGEMENT SESSIONS?

Yes. Most definitely! An engagement session is the best way for you to get to know me and for me to get to know you before your big day. It's a great way to put at ease any fears or concerns you might have about being in front of a camera too. Engagement Sessions start at $1300 (additional fees apply when using private properties or locations that charge a property use fee). A typical engagement session includes: up to 1.5 hours of photography and an online gallery of images.

DO YOU HAVE BUSINESS INSURANCE?

Yes. Most definitely. ASH & STONE is a fully Insured and Registered Australian Business. On that important note, I urge ANYONE that's looking for a Wedding Photographer to do a basic search of the Australian Business Registry before even considering their Photographer. Here's a link to the ABN Lookup Registry: http://abr.business.gov.au/Index.aspx | You will be suprised to find that there are A LOT of Photography 'Businesses' that aren't even meeting the basic legal requirements when it comes to offering a professional service to the public.
